Restoration to a Georgian Corner cupboard .

Early furniture goes through so many trials , being made specically for a certain market in a certain way out of certain timber you'd expect it just to be polished lovingly and just show just general wear and tear .

 Not all are so lucky as we get to see every day , a Georgian Oak corner cupboard was brought to us for restoration not only to the moldings which have fallen off due to the glue line drying out and crumbling but the back boards which needed to be stripped back to the original timber taking away 200 years of paint as we went down the layers of paint and wall paper we managed to travers each generations in colour . you can see for yourself on our restoration page at our website www.snowdoniaantiques.co.uk .

A normal Day .

Having had so much to do through the day we have to break it up into sections .
Its not all like Lovejoy where you solve a a murder and make 10's of thousands of pounds there is a lot of hard work that goes into it .
Today its quater to eight in the morning and an hours already been spent updating our website www.snowdoniaantiques.co.uk putting new photo's onto it with discriptions .
This morning will be spent restoring a 30 hour works and Oak corner cupboard before heading off to view a sale and pick up some wonderful Windsor Chairs ready for them to be photographed logged and put on display in our showroom .
Over the next few weeks we will have to be fully stocked ready for Christmas with not only Quality Period pieces in wonderful condition we have to make sure there affordable .
